Last week I bought your the Princess Castle Tutorial and this week I am sharing with you the crochet Princess Doll Pattern. This little Princess measures 13cm tall and fits perfectly into the Princess Castle. She is made using DK yarn and a 2.5mm hook and is constructed from the bottom up and also uses join as you go arms. Her skirt and its details are added using surface crochet before adding her hair and crown to finish her off.
This Princess also nicely works as a scrap busting project, as she doesn't use very much yarn in any colour, less than 20-30g depending on whether you make her using DK yarn or not. She has 5mm safety eyes and works up very quickly. She was designed and made within 1 evening, so a quick crocheter could easily make her within a couple of hours. She would probably work up great in a thicker yarn and larger hook to make a larger princess doll for cuddling rather than for roll play as she was designed.
Over the next 2 weeks I will also be releasing the patterns for the Knight and the Dragon which will allow for some great role play for any children along with the Princess Castle. The Princess fits nicely in the doors and on the balcony of her castle tower where she awaits the brave knight to rescue her from the dragon! You can get the pattern for the crochet princess doll for FREE below.
Join me next week for the release of the Knight pattern.
