Crochet Shower Puff

This week is the penultimate week in the Spa Gift Basket series and I bring you a pattern for a shower puff.   This makes a great addition to the Spa Basket Gift and is very easy to make.   This used a little more cotton than the scraps I had lying around, but since I had bought a load of this particular cotton for another project that didn't end up happening, I did manage to make this shower puff from my existing yarn stash.   I decided to make this using two strands of double knit cotton held together, but you can vary the weight or thickness of the yarn and it will just vary the size of the puff.

I used some James C Brett Glisten cotton as it has that nice glitter strand running through it, which also adds some exfoliating properties to the puff.  The hanging thread is made using Romanian point lace cord (you can check out my youtube video for it) and then the rest is just straight forward double and single crochets.   This is one of the more time consuming projects in the spa gift set, but I definitely think it's worth it.   I have been using mine for a few weeks now and love it.   It holds a huge amount of water though if just left in the shower so don't forget to allow is sufficient time to dry in between uses.   It is also easily machine washed on a low temperature, although I wouldn't use a drier for it due to the glitter parts running through it.   If you use normal cotton though it might be easier to try and dry it in a drier.

The pattern for this Shower Puff can be found below, and I hope you will join me for the final part (and my favourite pattern) of the Spa Gift Basket, my Tunisian Waffle Head Towel.   See you next week,
